FEENSTRA & SIMPSON RELEASE 9th SINGLE CALLED ‘TWO HALVES MAKE A WHOLE'

Rhythm & Blues into Pop rock duo Feenstra & Simpson announce their 9th single release called ‘Two Halves Make A Whole’, released on 15^th October on all leading platforms.

Feenstra & Simpson move ever closer to their anticipated debut album with another old school rhythm & blues meets pop rock single release called '2 Halves Make A Whole.

John Simpson: “We just follow where the music takes us and suddenly we found ourselves with a new idea for a song. 

I think ‘Two Halves’ has a bit of everything, a sort of Rock & Roll meets Doo-Wop type of thing, with some growling Rickenbacker bass thrown in.

It’s typical of us really. We start with something we agree on and then end up with something else. It’s a bit like following our muse.”

Pete Feenstra:  “It started with a typical John Simpson riff which stays in the brain and get you dancing.

I was in Paris, half way between the graves of Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison when John’s riff triggered a musical idea.

The words flowed, and musically I thought of Ducks Deluxe meets Web Wilder (look him up). I immediately called John and sang him what I had in mind.

Magically he transformed it into something coherent and essential.”

Described by Rock biographer & author Alan Clayson as: “Gifted with concentration on the possible, via the eternal verities of verses, choruses and bridge section,” Feenstra & Simpson is a British pop roots-rock duo comprising award-winning songwriter/lyricist/promoter and author Pete Feenstra and former Wilko Johnson championed Feelgood Band main man, multi instrumentalist and former indie recording artist John Simpson.

So far the duo have recorded 8 singles, 6 of which have entered Mike Read’s Heritage Chart and the Netherlands Hit Tracks Top 100.
