The person who makes you feel like you can do anything and give you confidence things will work out: âAnd you make it all right, And itâs gonna be fine, Weâre like partners in crime, And you make it all right.â In talking about the track and the upcoming release of SUPERCHARGED frontman Dexter Holland said: âWe wanted this record to have pure energy - from the start to the finish! Thatâs why we called it SUPERCHARGED. From the height of our aspirations to the depths of our struggles, we talk about it all on this recordâŚin a way that celebrates the life that we share and w we are now. Our single âMake It All Rightâ is a great example of this because it talks about the people in our lives who make us feel strong when we are feeling low â our partners in crime who make us feel all right.
The album was recorded in three different locations this time around: Maui, Vancouver, and our home studio in Huntington Beach, and together with our producer Bob Rock everything came out awesome. I feel like this is the best we have ever sounded! Weâve been rocking out and headbanging to it for months! And we canât wait for you guys to hear it!
Last week, The Offspring performed to a massive crowd at Napaâs BottleRock Festival performing careerspanning kick-ass fan favorites and were joined by a very special guest - global superstar Ed Sheeran. Sheeran - who is a longtime fan of The Offspring - surprised the crowd and performed âMillion Miles Awayâ from the bandâs Conspiracy of One album (released in 2000). Earlier in the day Sheeran rehearsed with the band backstage- even showing off his Offspring tattoo inspired by Conspiracy of One- before joining them onstage. Later the band introduced Sheeran by saying âWe were hanging out backstage and somebody said this was one of their favorite songs in the history of songs and he said he might be open to playing it with us - so let's give him a shot you know?â As fans erupted as Sheeran walked onstage, Dexter said to the crowd: âEd told us that one of our records was one of his first cdâs he ever bought when was a kid and that really meant a lot to us and we thought wow weâd love to have you come out and join us onstage. Weâre gonna play a song he wanted to play: âMillion Miles Away.â See performance and Sheeranâs post on the iconic performance .
Sheeran shared a recap of the special moment with the caption: âThe first album I ever bought was the @offspring - Conspiracy of One. I used to pretend to be in their band in the mirror and sing along to the album when I was 9, mostly to their song Million Miles Away as it was the first song of theirs I heard. I mentioned it in an interview and Noodles / Dexter got in touch with me when we found out we were all playing the same festival, to see if I wanted to get on stage and sing it. It was an instant yes obvz. Really felt like living out a childhood dream thank you for having me up t guys. Music is a wild ride, every day Iâm so grateful to be living my dream in reality. Hope you enjoy the vid xâ Earlier in the day the band joined Alton Brown at the William Sonoma Stage w they used some of Dexter Hollandâs Gringo Bandito Hot Sauce to spice up some wings! See photos . Then just a few days later, on June 1st, the band performed a special sold-out hometown arena show in Anaheim, CA for âThe Offspring: 30th Anniversary of SMASH and Honda Centerâ concert-celebrating over three decades of their iconic 6x Platinum album SMASH and the historic Honda Center. The band performed SMASH in its entirety plus some fan favorites. See footage from the show ! Continuing on the road the band are performing overseas at numerous festivals as well as Inkcarceration Festival in Mansfield, OH on July 19th and Louder Than Life Festival.
