Na vier jaar komen we terug met de meest ambitieuze plaat uit ons 10-jarige bestaan. 𝑯𝑶𝑵𝑬𝒀 𝑭𝑹𝑶𝑴 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑺𝑲𝒀, ons 3e studioalbum komt 19 april uit en is het resultaat van een experiment dat zo’n 2,5 jaar heeft geduurd.

In 2021 besloten we het roer om te gooien. We voelden ons vastgeroest in patronen, sound en aanpak en wisten geen richting te vinden voor een nieuw album. De band had dringend nieuwe prikkels, inspiratie en richting nodig om door te kunnen. Tricklebolt moest uit haar bubbel en op zoek. Wat kan Tricklebolt allemaal zijn?

We hebben onze muzikale helden opgezocht en zijn voor elke song een nieuwe samenwerking aangegaan in een nieuwe studio. Nieuwe prikkels, nieuwe plekken, nieuwe inspiraties en nieuwe werkwijzes.

Met een open mindset het land door, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Arnhem, Deventer, Leiden en hier met onze gasten in een bubbel duiken, slapend in loodsen, op banken, matjes, luchtbedden en hostelbedden door het hele land.

Deze plaat is Tricklebolts zoektocht. Je hoort in chronologische volgorde hoe de band afgelopen 2,5 jaar ge-experimenteerd heeft en ontwikkeld is. We zijn er ONTZETTEND trots op. Er zit veel tijd en energie in, een bandwisseling, tegenslagen, mentale inzinkingen, maar ook nieuwe vriendschappen, nieuwe energie en een plaat waar we fucking trots op zijn, de ultieme Tricklebolt plaat.

When you're lost cruising through meadows, along rivers and over hills, you could very well find yourself in Tricklebolt territory. From the east of the Netherlands they brew the soundtrack for life's 'Easy Rider' moments. Close to nature, while stirring in a large copper cauldron, Tricklebolt mixes dashes of psychedelics and rock'n roll with hints of adrenaline, sweat and primal feelings. One scoop from the kettle is enough to fully experience Tricklebolt: an energetic soundtrack where one moment you are completely dreaming away in Psychedelic passages and the next moment you are loudly singing along to choruses and riffs. If Tricklebolt is currently blaring from your car radio, I hope you are on your way to one of their concerts, their live reputation is dangerous.

Tricklebolts new record “Honey From The Sky” (out April 2024) is a quite a wild experience, recorded in 8 different studio’s, with 8 guest artists, spanning from members from DeWolff, Temples, Birth of Joy, Death Alley, Indian Askin and more! With more variety than ever Tricklebolt stretches the possibilities within their 70’s influenced rock ‘n roll sound. 

In the past, Tricklebolt has supported acts such as Golden Earring, Uriah Heep, DeWolff and more and played festivals, such as ESNS, Zwarte Cross, Ribs & Blues, Manana Manana and the Popronde.
