the guys started playing along and 20 minutes later we had pretty much the majority of the track sorted. When working out what to call it, Niall said “Hold On, I’ve got an idea!” It’s got a great, fun Friday night feel pulsating through it.”
Accompanying the foot-stomping, fist pumping track is a striking graphic noir novel inspired video, “It's the first time that the band has ever used a green screen, which was a fun experience! Going down this route really helped us to capture the energy of the song. It’s a warning about how actions can have consequences and sometimes it really is better to think before you speak.” Filmed at Brighton Electrics Rehearsal Rooms, it was directed and produced by Nick Burdett and Luke Bateman of LBPhoto.UK.
Coming at you from the vibrant cornucopia of the ever-expanding music scene in Brighton UK, the soaring 4 piece of Niall Kersey (vocals), James (guitar), Sam Sayers (bass) and Loz Ford (drums) are creating their own storm in venues across the UK. They have shared the stage with Hot Milk, InMe, Skindred and wowed at the inaugural Pride Rock Festival in their hometown with Brighton and Hove News proclaiming, “Twin guitars spitting fire and a rhythm section that strikes like lightning, they deliver a set that quickly stokes the crowd into a warming frenzy.” Pulling inspiration from classic LA rock, Seattle's iconic grunge and legendary UK bands, they present a very fresh take on the classic rock/grunge genre, creating their own cocktail of adrenaline fueled rock.
Due for release in 2024, the band is currently wrapping up what is poised to be an explosive second album. “We actually began recording demos in the summer of 2018 and started shaping and bringing to life our songs, then the pandemic struck. Initially, like everyone else, we were frustrated about having to put our lives on hold, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise to have more time to make the best album we possibly can.” This turn of events led to working with multi-platinum award-winning producer Mike Krompass (Steven Tyler, Theory Of A Deadman, Smash Mouth), recording at his state-of-the-art studio Base Culture UK.
The riff slingers stormed out of the underground with their debut album ‘Give in to Temptation’, which flaunts eleven burning beacons of ballsy hard rock. The single ‘Can You?’ rang in the ears of Team Rock & Kerrang radio listeners and boasts over a million streams on Spotify. Their recent single ‘Where The Crows Fly’ is armed to the teeth with a flurry of sledgehammer riffs, colossal chorus and an unabashed wailing solo which saw it rapidly rack up streaming and YouTube views. With their aforementioned 2nd album to be fully announced and more live shows, a flightful future is upon Stone Angels.
