Joe Bonamassa geeft op vrijdag 12 april een concert in AFAS Live in Amsterdam. De kaartverkoop start aanstaande vrijdag 29 september om 9.00 uur.

De Amerikaanse bluesgitarist en -zanger komt met zijn band met gerenommeerde muzikanten en een set list met nieuwe nummers en favorieten uit zijn uitgebreide carrière. Bonamassa’s muzikale loopbaan is gestaag gegroeid in de loop der jaren en blijft zich versterken. Vorig jaar behaalde hij zijn zesentwintigste nummer 1 notering in de Billboard Blues albumlijst, een record.

Joe Bonamassa wordt erkend als een van de meest gevierde livemuzikanten van vandaag. Met onder meer drie Grammy nominaties en vier Blues Music Awards op zijn naam kan hij met recht een blues-rock superster genoemd worden. Hoewel hij nog maar halverwege de veertig is, heeft Bonamassa zich al gevestigd als een levende legende met een indrukwekkende catalogus die meerdere genres bestrijkt. Hij bracht meer dan 40 albums uit, zowel studio- en live-opnames, en is creatieve samenwerkingen aangegaan in zijprojecten zoals Black Country Communion en Rock Candy Funk Party.

Daarnaast is hij een vruchtbare songwriter en heeft hij talloze albums geproduceerd, waaronder ‘Crown’ van Eric Gales, dat genomineerd werd voor Best Contemporary Blues Album bij de GRAMMY Awards 2023. Ook is Bonamassa de oprichter van Keeping The Blues Alive, een non-profit organisatie die scholen en artiesten ondersteunt.

Op 6 oktober verschijnt zijn nieuwe album ‘Blues Deluxe Vol. 2’ ter ere van het 20-jarig jubileum van ‘Blues Deluxe’.

The Royal Albert Hall shows celebrate the 15th anniversary since Joe first played the Royal Albert Hall in May 2009; a momentous concert which changed Joe’s career overnight. The first time Joe played the Royal Albert Hall, he was joined onstage by Eric Clapton. From there, the rest is history.
