Along the way, James faced panic attacks, Lyme disease, Covid, salmonella, a break-up and an IRS audit, all during the writing and recording of these 10 songs.
The recording took more than 200 hours over the span of 1 year, on equipment worth appx $1500, in a one bedroom apartment in East Nashville smaller than 500 square feet.
“Look Out World” marks the 35th release from Redding – his 11th commercial studio work, amidst other formats – and it arrives 25 years after his first album.
For an artist in his 40s who refuses to become complacent, 7 years into sobriety and 2 years into EMDR therapy, listening through this album means celebrating a victory with James.
