New Single: Heywood & Moore - Own It

Heywood & Moore - Own It

Own it is a song about that quintessential quality in any person’s life to be willing to accept responsibility for who they are and their choices. Women in their power have no fear of accountability (which isn’t blame) and with that we claim our individual freedom to be wholly and unrelentingly in ownership of ourselves. So be a strong woman - Own It, it’s an anthem!

The song is about being proud and happy with who you are, where you are in your life and about accepting all your past and future decisions and choices. The paths that you followed led you to the person and place that you are right in this moment so Own It! Acknowledge it, warts, and all.

The cover photo is a powerful image of a woman emerging from a dark tunnel of the past, leaping into a future of enlightenment with self-awareness, eagerness, and the confidence to believe in herself and her journey looking forwards not backwards.

The music of Heywood & Moore (founded by Brian Heywood and Dawn Moore) combines the story telling of traditional country music with the power of roots rock music. The Anglo/Australian duo works with some of the top players on the British and Australian music scene and regularly performs at festivals all over the Australia, UK, and indeed the world.

With five singles, and a full-length CD album under their belts, the Brian and Dawn have been making quite a splash in the UK and Australia where the duo’s signature sound of rich harmonies, which have attracted the interest of the likes of Larry Weiss (Rhinestone Cowboy) and Seymour Stein (Warner Music). Their songs tap into the rich mother lode of traditional country storytelling while still bringing their upbeat outlook on life to bear with a contemporary sound.
