Een nieuw Nederlandse heavy rocktrio, ontstaan in het donkerste uur van de rock & roll. Maar wél een met gezamenlijk bijna een halve eeuw ervaring in bands als Birth of Joy, Peter Pan Speedrock en Grenadeers: rockband Fire Horse brengt zijn nieuwe toepasselijk getitelde debuutalbum ‘Out Of The Ashes’ uit op het roemruchte Haarlemse platenlabel Suburban Records.

 De band, vernoemd naar bassist Van Elderen’s geboortejaar 1966, is uit de smeulende as opgerezen van wat ooit was. Volgens de Chinese astrologie is het Paard met het element Vuur betrouwbaar, temperamentvol, prikkelbaar, levendig, enthousiast en optimistisch.

Fire Horse grijpt muzikaal terug naar zowel de ’70’s als de ’90’s en laveert volgens eigen zeggen tussen stevige power rock en post-grunge: van desert rock a la Masters Of Reality en Queens Of The Stone Age tot Stone Temple Pilots, Foo Fighters, Royal Blood of Wolfmother. Ofwel: een unieke twist op klassieke rock met een ongeremde improvisatiedrift.

Out of the ashes, a phoenix rising…Fire Horse!

A new Dutch heavy rock trio, born in the darkest hour of rock & roll. But one with almost half a century of experience in bands such as Birth of Joy, Peter Pan Speedrock and Grenadeers: rock band Fire Horse releases its new aptly titled debut album ‘Out Of The Ashes’ on the illustrious Haarlem record label Suburban Records. The band, named after bassist Van Elderen’s year 1966, has risen from the smoldering ashes of what once was. According to Chinese astrology, the Horse with the element of Fire is reliable, temperamental, excitable, lively, enthusiastic and optimistic.

Fire Horse musically harks back to both the ’70s and the ’90s and, in its own words, navigates between heavy power rock and post-grunge : from desert rock a la Masters Of Reality and Queens Of The Stone Age to Stone Temple Pilots, Foo Fighters, Royal Blood or Wolfmother. In other words: a unique twist on classic rock with an unrestrained urge to improvise.
