Boogie Beasts release a new single: "Favorite Scene".

 

Boogie Beasts, Belgium's acclaimed four-piece blues rock band, will release their third album Love Me Some on September 17. The album will contain 12 songs, including the brand new single "Favorite Scene"."Favorite Scene" started out with a "Rolling Stones meet Canned Heat" vibe, hence the working title "Rolling Heat" the band used for a few months. The idea was to build a song around a catchy riff guitarist Patrick had come up with and to add a falsetto voice to that, but singer Jan was struggling to find the right lyrics and melody, so they felt a little stuck.

A couple of months later, during the band's residency at the GAM Studio in Waimes (B), producer Koenraad decided to try a different approach: strip down the song to a danceable groove with a bit of a Curtis Mayfield feel. The melody spontaneously flowed but the lyrics weren't finished until a few days before the final recordings at Studio Jupiter, in Tongeren (B). Koenraad called in the girl next door Rijkje Crommen again for the final touch and that's how "Rolling Heat" eventually became the sensual track "Favorite Scene".
