The Story of Live on Stage:
Eind 2019 besloten we om, samen met de organisatie achter het Swing
Wespelaar festival, een concertavond te organiseren in GC Den Breughel in
Haacht, om een nieuwe Live-plaat op te nemen na het succesvolle “Chasing
Shadows” album van 2018.
Niemand had toen het flauwste vermoeden dat twee maanden later Corona
ons zou overspoelen, waarbij de hele live scene stil viel en de wereld er plots
anders uit zag. Hierdoor heeft dit album vertraging opgelopen en viel heel het
plan om met de nieuwe CD op Europese promo tour te gaan, in het water.
Maar toch willen we het album nog dit jaar uitbrengen, omdat deze plaat iets
speciaals heeft in deze bizarre tijden. Misschien kan dit album jullie terug die
sfeer doen beleven, hoe het leven was voor corona, en ook hoe het (hopelijk)
terug zal worden in de toekomst.
Deze CD geeft een heel mooie registratie weer van een geweldige avond en
laat ons hopen op een snelle terugkeer naar een normale wereld.

Biography:
The BluesBones is a band of 5 passioned and experienced musicians, playing
blues/rock with undiminished feeling and skill. Their original songs vary from
blues rock over mellow and sensitive blues ballads, swampy slide to more
heavy rock. This extended range of styles generated a diverse fanbase in
Europe and beyond.
The band, formed in 2011, released its debut album in 2012 and was elected
public's favorite at the Belgian Blues Challenge the same year. The band was
declared winner of the same contest in 2016 and finished 2nd out of 26
countries at the European Blues Challenge in Horsens/Denmark in 2017.
The BluesBones played over 400 shows all over Europe and performed at
festivals like Blues Peer festival, Ribs & Blues festival, Moulin Blues, Swing
Wespelaar festival, Scinawski Blues Festival, Cahors Blues Festival, Breda
Jazz, Randers Blues Festival, Blues‘n Jazz Rallye, …

The Story of Live on Stage:
At the end of 2019, we decided to organize a concert in association with the
team of Swing Wespelaar festival, to record a new Live CD in succession of
the successful, critically acclaimed “Chasing Shadows” album of 2018.
At the time, no one had the faintest idea that two months later corona would
submerge the world, causing a standstill in the entire live scene, and make the
world suddenly look different. As a result, our album release was delayed and
the scheduled promotion tour through Europe was all of a sudden canceled.
Nevertheless, we decided to release the record this year because this album
has something special and we want to share the Live corona free vibe of that
particular night. We hope this record will recall the atmosphere of a live concert
without restrictions and how life will hopefully look again in the near future.
This album is a powerful recording of a great night with tons of energy.
We wish all of you the very best, stay healthy and enjoy our new record.
