The Memphis sound of the 1950’s is proudly celebrated by The Love Light Orchestra, a group fronted by acclaimed vocalist John Németh, who is backed by a 9-piece band of the most seasoned musicians from the Home of the Blues.

Guitarist Joe Restivo and arranger/ trumpeter Marc Franklin drew inspiration for the group’s name from Bobby “Blue” Bland’s 1961 hit ‘Turn On Your Love Light,’ and the concept from the orchestral sound of mid-century big band blues found on the singles of Bobby “Blue” Bland, B.B. King, and “Junior” Parker. “Leave The Light On,” the debut studio album from the ensemble, takes their devotion to the sound to the next level on a sophisticated recording of nine original songs and one cover written in tribute to the era of crooners, shouters, and entertainers, who ruled Beale Street in the days before rock ‘n’ roll and soul.

The latest offering from Australian Rock and Country recording duo Lowheart, "Roots Run Deep", is their first EP length release after 6 albums and 4 singles, and is a six-track collection of traditional American folk songs, all originating from well before the birth of rock 'n' roll. These classic songs reflect the origins of both Country Music and The Blues, and are all around 100 years old (and in the case of "Wayfaring Stranger", around 200 years old!). They are so old in fact that the original songwriters cannot be identified, and as such the songs are all in the public domain. They have all been covered numerous times over the years by a great many artists, and have now been given the Lowheart treatment on "Roots Run Deep", often with unique new arrangements that inject a different perspective and feel to these familiar songs. The instrumentation, production, and musical style are in a similar vein to the sounds presented on their most recent album "Catharsis” - being driven by the acoustic guitar, with passionate vocals, and each featuring a memorable and dynamic lead guitar solo.

Originally founded by Belgian and Dutch musicians, it turned out that it was no longer possible to keep the band active & creative across national borders. The renewed "full Belgian" line-up bears solid letters of nobility and an impressive pedigree:Blues Lee, Howlin’ Bill, Rhythm Bombs, Fried Bourbon, Jim Cofey, Hideaway … just to name a few.

Follow-up to the successful first D-Day album of Dutch neo-progressive rockers Knight Area, released in September 2019, to mark the 75^th Anniversary of Operation Market Garden. Where that album focussed on the hardship of D-Day and consecutive battles, D-Day II puts the emphasis on the psychological strain the war had on the soldiers upon returning home after the end of World War II.

Musically the album continues in the somewhat heavier vein of the previous one featuring singer Jan Willem Ketelaers (Ayreon) next to Peter Vink (Q65, Finch), Mark Bogert, Gerben Klazinga and Pieter van Hoorn.
