Over verrassing gesproken. Na twintig jaar afwezigheid duiken de uit New Hampshire Roots Rockers Say Zuzu weer tevoorschijn met een Retrospective en een nieuw aankomend album, wat waarschijnlijk gaat uitkomen tussen eind 2022 en begin 2023. Dat vind ik geweldig nieuws! De band valt in de categorie Slobberbone, Bottle Rockers, Bellweather en waren ook met regelmaat te zien in onze contreien en hoop ze dus te zijner tijd weer te mogen aanschouwen.

Say ZuZu, opgericht door Jon en James Nolan en Cliff Murphy in 1991, bouwde een internationale aanhang op met onverbloemde live-optredens, duurzame en directe liedjes over het leven in Milltown en opwindende harmonieën. De band toerde meedogenloos van Maine naar Texas naar Italië, Duitsland en Nederland, opererend vanuit een beslist niet-glamoureuze schoolbus voor 24 passagiers, en namen zeven (of negen) albums op voordat ze in 2002 uit elkaar gingen.
