New single – released September 16, 2026 “Heaven is not for the damned.” Now that’s an intriguing way to start a song.
Our favourite band from the UK, The Cinelli Brothers, are back with “Heaven”, and right from the opening seconds you know they’re taking us somewhere slightly different.
The drums set the pace: upbeat, fast and very danceable. Marco Cinelli’s voice has a darker edge here – almost dangerous, certainly warning. It immediately makes you wonder: where did he get the idea for this one?
All four members contribute vocals, giving the song plenty of variation and a real band feel. The break, ignited by Alessandro Cinelli’s drums and followed by JJ’s guitar solo, keeps the urgency going. And then there are those irresistible “hoo-hoos”. Together with the organ – which plays a crucial role throughout – they give Heaven a strong sixties flavour. Soul, rock ’n’ roll and a touch of psychedelia all seem to meet somewhere along the way. The song has hooks, melody and a relentless beat. It’s catchy without becoming too obvious, and you can already imagine this one working even better LIVE.
The accompanying video is great fun too: colourful, funny and uplifting, with Marco as the priest and the rest of the band as his faithful disciples of soul.
We’re very pleased with this carefully calculated change of direction in The Cinelli Brothers’ musical journey. They’re clearly not standing still – and that makes what comes next even more interesting.
So bring on the new album, FRESCO, coming October 1.
