Mogen we voorstellen Schaefer Llana die 13 november met haar debuutalbum voor Strolling Bones Records komt.
Schaefer Llana groeide op in Batesville, Mississippi, een stadje met ongeveer 7.500 inwoners vlakbij Oxford. Ze moest echt zoeken naar de muziek die ze nu als inspiratiebron noemt. Sharon Van Etten, Judee Sill en Karen Dalton werden nog niet op de lokale radio gedraaid, hoewel haar vroege contacten met Shania Twain en Britney Spears zeker hun weg hebben gevonden in haar stralende stijl van contemplatieve en openhartige indierock. Haar stijl is dan ook een samensmelting van deze invloeden: een bijna bovennatuurlijk talent om memorabele hooks uit het niets te toveren; een lyrische stijl die met een simpele beweging schakelt tussen verhalend en poëtisch; en een geduld in haar songwriting dat getuigt van een onvermoeibare toewijding om de subtiele details te ontrafelen die een nummer geweldig kunnen maken.
