Sally Jaye releases her new single, “Your Brother’s On The News Again,” this Friday, August 28, via Mule Kick Records. The third single from her forthcoming album You’ll Be Okay, Baby, the song is a quirky, narrative-driven Americana tune featuring Brook Sutton on tuba—another offbeat, beautifully observed story from a songwriter deeply influenced by the strange, tender, and sometimes heartbreaking details of Southern life.
Produced by Brent Cobb, You’ll Be Okay, Baby arrives October 2 and finds the Georgia native turning years of experience, loss, love, motherhood, and life on the road into a collection of intimate, emotionally rich songs. Jaye’s songwriting has earned her a devoted following, with her 2006 album Amarillo becoming a cult favorite among Americana fans and music supervisors. Her songs have also been recorded by Brent Cobb, Leah Blevins, Shannon McNally and others.
Jaye was also a 2025 Artist in Residence at Georgia College in Milledgeville, chosen in celebration of the 100th birthday of Flannery O’Connor, one of her major literary influences.
