Vier vijfde van de klassieke King Diamond-bezetting uit de late jaren '80 is herenigd in een nieuwe band, Lex Legion. Met Mikkey Dee, Andy La Rocque, Pete Blakk en Hal Patino – naast zanger Nils K. Rue (Pagan's Mind) – brengt de groep tientallen jaren ervaring samen, opgedaan bij Motörhead, Scorpions en natuurlijk King Diamond.

Lex Legion, opgericht door Dee en Blakk en aangevuld door jarenlange samenwerkingspartners en vrienden, is gebouwd op zowel erfgoed als duurzaamheid. Wat begon als een langbesproken idee tussen hechte muzikanten, is uitgegroeid tot een serieus project, gevoed door meer dan 40 jaar gedeelde geschiedenis en een hernieuwde creatieve focus, bevrijd van de beperkingen van hun eerdere carrières.

Lex Legion’s eponymous debut album is a single-minded, future-facing throwback of world class hard rock/metal distinguished by tasteful, less-is-more arrangements, virtuoso musicianship, and relentless melody and harmony.

Lex Legion’s self-titled debut arrives in June 2026 via MNRK Music Group, channeling a deliberate throwback to the band’s roots while sounding fresh and immediate. Built on lean arrangements, strong melodies, and virtuoso performances, the album reflects the band’s commitment to writing music on their own terms.

The first single “Sleep Eternally,”  sets the tone instantly, while follow-up “Gypsy Tears” continues the momentum with a mix of atmosphere and drive.
