LYRICS
(Chorus)
Strop Strop Strop
Make my razor nice and sharp.
Sharp enough to cut the whiskers on my chin.
Frankie Jackson needs killing and I’m wearing a wicked grin.
Frankie needs killing, I’m wearing a wicked grin.
(Verse 1)
Well they say my baby was dancing and a shaking.
Had no idea about the troublemaking.
She was just drinking and dancing, boys, having a real good time.
She didn’t know about the evil lurking in Frankie’s mind.
Well, he came up behind her.
Lord, he grabbed her too tight.
My baby knew right away something just wasn't right.
Lord, she slapped, she bit, Lord, she kicked him down low,
And everybody heard the snap when he grabbed her by the throat.
And I said…(Chorus)
(Verse 2)
Well, Dr, Jones says my baby ain’t never gonna be right.
Got my wheels turning towards Frankie’s place tonight.
Sometime around sun-up I’m gonna hit New Orleans.
Thirty five Rampart, number three nineteen.
And say I’m here for my baby that you paralyzed.
You’ll know I mean business when you see the look in my eyes.
I’m gonna start my carving and I Ian;t never gonna stop,
’Til I spill all the blood that Frankie Jackson got.
So I said…(Chorus)
(Verse 3)
Well a man cried out murder
I heard a woman scream.
They’re picking up pieces of Frankie all up and down Rampart street.
I cut into Frankie like a butcher cuts a hog.
I cut out his evil heart and I fed it to a dog.
Tell the cops I don't want no jury.
I don’t need no judge.
I’ll be siting here waiting wearing Frankie Jackon’s blood.
And I said…(Chorus)

BIOGRAPHY
The CD Woodbury Trio or CD3 is a vibrant contemporary blues and roots power unit rooted in the Seattle, Washington music scene, led by guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter CD Woodbury, whose charismatic performances and songwriting have earned him numerous Washington Blues Society honors and national recognition. The trio blends gritty blues with rock, jazz, New Orleans grooves, and roots influences, creating a rich sonic tapestry that has captivated audiences across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Their albums Monday Night! and World’s Gone Crazy have garnered sustained radio success and chart presence on independent blues and roots charts, showcasing Woodbury’s deft mix of soulful originals and inventive arrangements.
Anchoring the band’s deep grooves is Robert Baker, a veteran Northwest bassist, vocalist, and recording engineer. Baker brings formal training in music and years of experience performing in a wide variety of ensembles — from jazz trios and community orchestras to regional blues, rock, and roots bands — to every CD Woodbury Trio performance. In addition to his fluid, expressive bass playing and backing vocals, he has a background as a recording engineer, working on diverse projects and helping shape the sound of recordings behind the scenes. As a respected figure in the local scene, Baker’s contributions provide depth, feel, and musical intuition that help define the group’s rhythmic foundation.
On drums, the Trio is now reinforced by Bill Ray, an award winning and highly versatile drummer known for his work across blues, rock, jazz, R&B, and more. Ray’s storied career includes touring and recording with legendary artists, most notably as a longtime member of Ike Turner’s band — he played on the Grammy Award–winning Risin’ With the
Blues, collaborations with virtuoso guitarist Paul Gilbert, and over 150 recording credits.
His technical mastery, groove sensibility, and decades of professional experience bring both power and nuance to the trio’s live shows and recordings, elevating their performances with rhythmic depth and seasoned musicality.
