  Set for release on 20^th February, Mansun Retold sees Paul Draper revisit and reimagine some of the most iconic songs from Mansun’s catalogue, rebuilding them from the ground up as new full band acoustic unplugged versions. Today, he has shared the album’s first single ‘I’ve Seen The Top Of The Mountain Retold’.

 Recorded at The Loft Studios in Surrey, Draper co-produced the album with Paul “PDub” Walton (The Cure, U2, Björk, Massive Attack, Oasis), the recordings feature a string quartet arranged and led by Audrey Riley (Muse, Coldplay, Nick Cave), with drums performed by Julian Fenton, Mansun’s own drummer in their early days. Draper handles acoustic bass, acoustic lead and rhythm guitar, and piano.

 Alongside news of his new album, Paul Draper has also just announced the ‘Mansun – The Hits’ Tour for March 2026. The shows will see Draper performing all 14 of Mansun’s Top 40 singles including ‘Wide Open Space’, ‘I Can Only Disappoint You’, ‘Taxloss’ and others with his full electric band.

 In the late ‘90s, Mansun carved out their own corner of British music with albums like Attack of the Grey Lantern (a UK No.1), Six, and Little Kix - works that built a loyal following with Draper at the heart of the chaos. Nearly three decades later, he’s revisiting that world and meeting his younger self across the years.

 In Spring 2026 Paul Draper will tour the UK, playing all Mansun’s Top 40 singles including 5 Top Ten’s with his full electric band at a series of prestigious venues.
