‘Tougher Now’ combines the characteristic intensity of Bryant's blues rock with a  bouncy groove that gives the sound a new, rousing dynamic. The single reveals the  exceptional musician from a more playful yet uncompromisingly focused side: a driving  rhythm section, concise guitar riffs and a pinch of soul give the song an irresistible  pulse. Above it all reigns Bryant's distinctive voice – raw, honest, powerful. The result  is a modern, danceable blues rock track that finds its place somewhere between the  club stage and the festival main stage – yet remains unmistakably Danny Bryant.
