In his twenty-year career as a singer-songwriter Dan Hubbard has released nine studio albums, toured extensively throughout the United States, and shared the stage with countless national acts.
Seamlessly blending big, vibrant vocals with whispered, almost conversational musings that brim with raw emotion and truth, the Illinois native will release his tenth studio work in October ’25 - a six-song mini-album titled Vol 1: Letting Go. This will be the first in a two-volume set. After several albums deeply rooted in Americana influences, Vol 1: Letting Go features a more eclectic mix of songs. While much of the record stays within Hubbard’s classic singer-songwriter sound, his ventures into the subgenres of R&B, soul and pop on some songs reveal pleasingly unforeseen depths to his talents.
From the stunning opening, soul-inflected ballad, ‘Remember’ via the retro Americana of ‘Open Up’ to the emotional ode to loss of closer ’These Waters’, which inspired the set’s Letting Go title, Dan Hubbard proves that big things do indeed come in small packages.
A single from the album, ‘Sad Eyes’, was released on September 26 ▼
