Rival Sons return to Europe next week, kicking off stadium tour with Guns N' Roses in Georgia
Band announces supports from Creeping Jean and James And The Cold Gun for headline shows
[9am, Thursday 22 May 2025] This summer 2025 sees Rival Sons reaching new career highs and making their Wembley stadium debut June 26th along with more than ten other stadium dates across Europe supporting the legendary Guns N’ Roses.
“Wembley Stadium will be a career-high, it’s a legendary spot, great to play there with our friends and legends in GNR” Rival Sons guitarist, Scott Holiday “We’re also getting to visit a lot of new places on this run of dates with GNR, kicking off in Georgia next week which will be a new one for us, really looking forward to it.”
It’s no secret that GNR guitarist Slash is a fan of Rival Sons, having been vocal about his love for them, even choosing to work with Dave Cobb, based on Rival Sons sound, quoted on Guitar.com he stated in 2022: “I heard Rival Sons on the radio in LA and thought, ‘That’s a good f*cking band’. When I checked out Dave Cobbs’s discography (looking for a producer), I noticed that the records he’s done, which are primarily country, were really earthy, raw, soulful records. Then I saw Rival Sons on the list and that was the icing on the cake.”
Rival Sons will also reconnect with Black Sabbath this summer after spending a remarkable 18 months on the road with them on their final world tour “The End” when they were hand-picked by Ozzy and Sharon.
Ozzy Osbourne: ‘I was at an awards show in Los Angeles with my wife and I see a band that really spark me off (Rival Sons). It’s so refreshing to see a band coming up with such a great vibe and such a great look and such a great attitude to what they’re doing. You can see 50 bands and you see one and you go ‘fuck, they’re good.’
Rival Sons were then also picked to play the 2019 GRAMMY Salute To Black Sabbath - paying tribute with a medley of Black Sabbath’s hits.
Rival Sons will join Black Sabbath BACK TO THE BEGINNING in Villa Park, Birmingham this July 5th.
Between stadium shows Rival Sons will be playing a run of headline dates. They are pleased to announce that they will be supported by South Wales band James And The Cold Gun on European shows, and Brighton band Creeping Jean on UK dates plus Delissen Group and Kaskadeur on German shows. Scott Holiday states:
“It’s always great to play some smaller rooms after big shows, the intimacy and connection is tight and it’s just great to put a lot of sound into a smaller room. We have a few new bands coming out with us this time around, including Creeping Jean who will join us again this year for UK shows…”
Oliver Tooze frontman of Creeping Jean states:
“It is beyond exciting to be joining Rival Sons on tour for a second time around this summer. We loved the band before touring with them last year, and now love them even more, since getting to know them. Stylistically, musically & sartorially it couldn’t be more perfect. Thanks Rival Sons for giving us some UK dates, to share that stage for some sweet rock and roll! It was so nice we had to do it twice!”
