Taken from his upcoming LP, "Black and Blue – The Brick Hill Sessions" (out August 22), this track is both anthem and allegory—fusing a rootsy Americana sound with an Eastern European beat and sharp social commentary. Produced by Jon Evans (Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan) at Cape Cod’s Brick Hill Studio, it’s a richly textured, satirical tune that calls power to account while staying catchy and clever.
Fignus first made waves winning MTV’s Basement Tapes and landing a deal with Columbia Records. Since then, he's become a fixture on the Americana and roots-rock scene, with national chart success, features on NBC and CBS, and a dedicated fan base from Boston to the Cape.
Recommended for: Americana, roots rock, alt-country, socially conscious singer-songwriters, and playlists or programs looking for something with bite, brains, and authenticity.
We’d love your support in spinning, reviewing, or sharing the track. Press assets, advance streams, and interview requests are all available on request.
