Originally formed by Andy Devine in October 2022 as “The Dogshark Blues Band”. The band began performing in early 2023 as a mostly traditional Blues cover band but quickly gained notoriety for their exceptional delivery of the music of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and The Doors.

It became apparent that the bands natural inclination was towards Rock with a heavy Blues influence and so they consciously moved away from the more trad Blues scene.

By 2024 the band had simplified their name to just “Dogshark Blues” and re-engineered their shows to be more energetic and Rock oriented. They began working on original material without trying to align with any specific genre, the band wrote naturally and from the heart simply. And what came out of that was an inspired and fresh sounding combination of all their influences.

By April 2024 the band were ready to record their debut album. Holding sessions through April to June, working with producer JB Pilon @ Buoalo Studios in West Yorkshire. The album was Mastered by Brad Boatright at Audioseige in Portland, Oregan USA.

For the release of their debut album, they shortened their name again to simply “Dogshark”. As this was much more than just a blues album.
