Recorded in Nashville with Cal Campbell, son of the legendary Glen Campbell, “I’m In The Moon” is a sonic tapestry woven with Gold’s deft production skills. He played most of the instruments himself, and the mix - courtesy of Adam Moseley (The Cure, and more) - gives the track a polished, yet raw, emotional texture. The bouncing basslines, plucky guitar riffs and layered harmonies evoke the spirit of ‘80s left-of-center pop, reminiscent of David Byrne and Talking Heads, but with a cleaner, more contemporary edge.
