Recordings: 2020-2025 is not a traditional studio album but more a collection of songs that represent Simon’s journey as an artist and musician before becoming Deep Purple’s guitarist and hitting the stage with one of the most legendary bands in rock history. Bringing together raw, high-energy studio sessions, this release showcases McBride’s signature mix of blues, hard rock, and jaw-dropping guitar mastery. Alongside original material, the album features standout covers, including Duran Duran’s ‘Ordinary World’, Mr. Mister’s ‘Uniform of Youth’, and Bryan Adams’ ‘Kids Wanna Rock’. While some of the material has been available digitally, this release marks the first time these songs are available in a physical format.
To give fans an exciting preview of what’s to come, the first single, ‘Ordinary World’, is available on all streaming platforms from February 7th. Offering a fresh take on the 1992 classic, Simon puts his own soulful, guitar-driven spin on the track while staying true to its emotional core.
Following the album release, Simon McBride will hit the road for a European tour in March and early April, bringing live performances to fans across the continent:
