“Agarthi” the new album b the Chris Zek Band is out on October 18th on all digital stores and physical format.
It is like a travel back in time, taking a time machine, overseas back in the days when long guitar driven rides and dreamlike jams were key elements for vivid musical journeys.
Blending blues and early british hard rock to create a captivating, haunting atmosphere.
“Agarthi”, the new album, includes seven original songs, one of them, the title track, being an instrumental. All of the songs are written by Christian Zecchin and arranged by the band.
Many psychedelic rock influences from the golden age of rock and roll and bands like The Allman Brothers Band, The Grateful Dead, Santana and Pink Floyd with a nod to the prog rock ambience of Peter Gabriel era Genesis.

Christian Zecchin’s guitars and Matteo Bertaiola’s keyboards are the backbone of dreamlike melodies shaping a fascinating sonic mantra, while the rhythm section perfectly supports the band leader singing voice.
“Agarthi is a legendary place, at the center of the Earth”, says Christian Zecchin about the new album, “believed to be at the origins of humanity. According to a legend, one of the access for Agarthi lies in the Gobi desert, in Eastern Asia, where another, more advanced civilization, would live. e chose this title as a reference to exploring the ties with other places, imagining caravans crossing deserts in search for a sign of peace.”
