11 GUYS QUARTET - LONESOME HOTEL BLUES

11 GUYS QUARTET - LONESOME HOTEL BLUES

VizzTone releases new 11 GUYS QUARTET single – “Lonesome Hotel Blues”

The 11 Guys Quartet were gratified by the response to their 2020 instrumental album of live studio recordings, Small Blues and Grooves, which was their first release since 1985 – it’s a long story, but briefly: friends and bandmates since the 70s, Paul Lenart (guitar), Bill “Coach” Mather (bass), Chuck Purro (drums) and Richard “Rosy” Rosenblatt (harmonica) got together in VizzTone’s basement studio to create 14 original blues instrumentals – and fans, radio, and press from around the world responded lovingly

After that reception they weren’t about to let one little pandemic stop them, so they dug in with remote recordings and produced 11 new singles accompanied by wildly creative videos produced by The Coach. (Check out their YouTube channel!) These singles yielded the band’s 2023 album, 11 x 11.

Now they’re pressing forward, one single at a time. The newest single release, “Lonesome Hotel Blues,” is slated for a June 7, 2024 release. It’s a wickedly slow, sultry minor blues rock ballad, suitable for long nights in strange places.

“Masterful, understated, and just plain cool” – The Rock Doctor, Canada
"Heat of sound fairness of the game, and intimate knowledge of the territory” – Paris Move, France
“A treasure trove of great music” – Blues Matters, UK
“The close chemistry in the playing breathes right through the CD” – Elmore magazine, USA
