Brit is a true empath. Her songs and music are born of her unwavering resolve and innate ability to keep an open mind to understanding others while being honest and accountable to herself. She looks for life’s silver lining and holds no grudges – not even toward a brutal 10-year town that held her heart hostage since she was a teen. Staring on the Kentucky Opry at age 7, she left at 17 to chase her country music dream in Nashville. A college degree and an internship quickly led to her first publishing deal. Before she could soar, however, she had to navigate life’s dips and jolts – a marriage gone wrong, a beloved dog crossing the Rainbow Bridge, a band and publishing deal that were no more and the bank wanting her sanctuary – the treasured mini-farm that brings her peace and houses her menagerie of animals. What could have broken her only strengthened her; instead she is thankful for the hardships that shaped her into the person she is and led her to the life she enjoys.
Today, she has a marriage built on trust, friendship and good times and professional partnerships with Thirty Tigers, One Riot, Reservoir and Eclipse Management. She has a successful side hustle cleaning business personally created to finance her dream – as she said on the Grand Ole Opry stage, “I’m not too proud to clean toilets” if that’s what it takes to fund her dream and let her make the music that is true to her heart. It is why her songwriting and music is powerfully strong, allowing her to gift listeners with songs that offer a background for life’s laughter or a shoulder to lean on for life’s tears. Brit Taylor is authentically real in her life, in her music and in her songs.
