L.A.B’s groove blends an eclectic, catchy and laidback-Whakatane Bay mix of reggae, pop, blues, rock, soul and funk with electronic influences, all combining to create a sound entirely their own. L.A.B, featuring former members of the bands Kora and Katchafire, have become a mainstay in the New Zealand music scene, with 5 albums in the last 5 years, all with at least a one-time Platinum status, dominating as well the national single and album charts, radio playlists, award shows and sales stats on dsp-platforms.
L.A.B also made their name on the live stages of Australasia (and recently the USA too), and were publicly-voted for two years in a row as New Zealand’s Best Live Act. It's about time these 5 musicians showed up in Europe.
On the 5th of October their European premiere will be at the (already sold out!) Amsterdam Paradiso, and one week later they’ll perform at the O2 Forum in London. Early spring next year they will release their new album, “VI”, supported by more European shows.
