ROBERT JON & THE WRECK: new single/videoclip "West Coast Eyes", van hun nieuwe album "Ride Into The Light" Op 4 augustus verschijnt het album: “Ride Into The Light” “We are very excited to present our brand new single. An instant sing-along track that evokes the pure joy of summertime love. This track was co-written with Tom Hambridge and produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith.

It was recorded at Sunset Sound Studio in Los Angeles, California and features renowned session keyboardist Jeff Babko!”

“We met with the legendary Tom Hambridge to work out this song. The man has written, played and recorded with a lot of great artists. I mean, come on, he worked with Buddy Guy, Mike Zito, Johnny Winter, B.B. King, Susan Tedeschi, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Billy Ray Cyrus, Foghat, Ana Popovic, Roy Buchanan, Quinn Sullivan, George Thorogood and who ever more. He is a genius. It was an unique opportunity to learn from one of the best in the world”, shares frontman/vocalist/guitarist Robert Jon Burrison. “A few weeks later we went into the studio to record the track with Joe and Josh as our producers, and it evolved a bit into a tribute to the LA session musician scene through the years, combining elements from a few different decades and ended up being a really fun sonic experiment. Joe and Josh were great to be around, providing a lot of worthwile musical suggestions and ofcourse some top-notch vintage guitar gear!”

Robert Jon en zijn The Wreck-crew, afkomstig uit het zuidelijke deel van de Amerikaanse staat California, zijn inmiddels al weer toe aan hun zevende studio-album. “Ride Into The Light” verschijnt via het nagelnieuwe label Journeyman Records van top-gitarist Joe Bonamassa. Met zijn kompaan Josh Smith (Marc Broussard, Eric Gales, Joanne Shaw Taylor) deed hij ook een deel van het produktie-werk, naast legendarische namen als Don Was (John Mayer, Bonnie Raitt), Dave Cobb (Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton) en Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, The Black Crowes). Daarnaast werkte de band samen met bekende songschrijvers als Charlie Starr, Tom Hambridge en Ian Cullen. Ze werden dus omringd door een All Stars-ensemble en dat betaalt zich ook meer dan uit; ‘the resulting album finds the band reaching a new level of musicianship and songwriting prowess, delivering a fresh take on southern rock and roll, with catchy melodic Americana tunes and bluesy riff-driven sing-along roots rock songs, while evoking classic ‘70s bands. It’s packed with blistering blues-rock and sun-soaked Americana ballads, and it is as high-octane as it is soul-stirring, proving that good-old feelgood rock and roll - with soaring guitar leads, boogying grooves and rich vocal harmonies - is still thriving in 2023’.
