It will be released simultaneously worldwide on 23 June 2023. The album is also the third in a unique trilogy, conceived by band mastermind Frank Bornemann as a rock opera about the life and fate of the French national heroine and saint Joan of Arc, who brought about the turning point in the Hundred Years' War against England in favour of the French king during the Middle Ages, and whose life ultimately ended at the stake.
The first two albums entitled "The Vision, the Sword and the Pyre, Parts 1 & 2" featured various illustrious artists (including Alice Merton) on the guest list. They not only received consistently positive reviews and reached high chart positions, but also attracted a great deal of cultural interest for their extensive knowledge of historical detail.
"Echoes from the Past" follows up on the author's previous works, with Jean de Metz, comrade-in-arms of Joan of Arc and leading protagonist of first two albums, reflecting on the stirring events of the past in a very emotional way.

Musically, this has resulted in a work in which sensitive and atmospheric passages alternate with powerful, dramaturgically shaped surges of sound that will doubtless remind ELOY fans of the band's earlier concept works.
According to Frank Bornemann, who once again had to deal with changes in the line-up for this production, this musical melange is completely intentional. Although these musical elements are perfectly integrated into the trilogy, the album leaves a lot of room for unexpected creative moments, which have an extraordinarily powerful effect on this unique album.
