Soul Krewe
Scott Weis & Soul Krewe is a blues, rock, and soul-funk band with a spice shaker of New Orleans added in. Seasoned veteran musicians Scott Weis, Andy Pace and Todd Lanka are the core of the band with gifted guest musicians appearing throughout the project. There is a spark that ignites when the three of us are in the same room making music.
Lead man and writer Scott Weis is a Blues Hall of Fame Inductee and has worked alongside some of the biggest legends in music including Junior Wells, Joe Cocker, Richie Havens and John Lee Hooker. Drummer and cowriter Andy Pace was the drummer for C+C Music Factory and has appeared on SNL, American Music Awards, MTV Music Awards, and most late-night shows. Andy has worked with Gary US Bonds, Kim Simmonds of Foghat, and Jerry Le Croix of Edgar Winter. Bassist Todd Lanka has supported recording artists and bands from a wide variety of genres including Steve Forbert.
This album came together in two days of sessions, basic tracks were all laid live, and some small overdubs followed. The original intention was to just get together and have some fun, but after listening to the tracks we knew we had something special. The music that came out of these sessions is moving and full of color and vibes that grab your attention. We hope you find it to be as moving as we do.

ABOUT SCOTT
Story Begins
Growing up in North Jersey, Scott set his sights on learning from the best. He became a gopher at the legendary House of Music doing odd jobs and guitar parts for major recording artists to earn studio time with Charlie Conrad. Scott Worked his way throug h various local bands as a guitarist before long singing with Premier Talent Agency NYC as a touring guitarist for many blues and rock artists..
By the late 90’s Scott. took a break from touring.
2005 Created Scott Weis Band ”I just wanted to make a record to describe who I was, music is a spiritual thing for me.”Blues Hall of Fame inductee 2012In 2011, Scott released Almost There.
He watched the album climb the charts as he lay in bed suffering from a broken neck not knowing if he would recover. He returned to the stage in early 2012 after getting a call to open shows for Dickie Betts. Flowers and get-well cards flood the stage. Scott realized then, that he should not give up.Over the Years Scott has shared the stage with Joe Cocker ,Etta James ,Dickie Betts,Greg Allman, Tinsley Ellis,John Lee Hooker,Junior Wells,Buddy Guy,DrJohn,Blues Traveler,SpinDoctors,Blackfoot ,Marshall Tucker,38 Special,The Outlaws,Robin Trower,,Mighty Sam McClain,TheMeters and Many More.
Scott Has Released 7 full length CD’s and more on the way without the help of any label … ndependent.
Scott Weis Band has over the years have had Lineup changes, the original lineup known as Scott Weis Band had almost a 10 year hiatus before they reunited to record Simmer Me Down and continues to tour as Scott Weis Band delivering there own style of rocking blues.
During the 10 year hiatus Todd Lanka and Andy Pace played as the Scott Weis Band and now are known as Scott Weis and Soul Krewe and have morphed into a New Orleans based blues and funk style with the essence of of Americana .
