Met hulp van bassist Kjetil Dalland en gast-bijdragen van gitarist Amund Maarud werkten ze hun vele losse vondsten uit tot eigen volledige echte tracks; ‘our debut-album is loaded with strangely, animated yet very personal songs; we call it ‘club blues’ - there’s always this catchy, poppy, positive and repetitive vibe’!
“Hoohahs & Cat Calls” is mainly a joint record from the Norwegian musicians Odin (Staveland) and Bjorn Berge, with some help of bass-player Kjetil Dalland and guitarist Amund Maarud. The album was produced by Odin, mixed by Kjetil Ulland and mastered by Bjorn Engelmann. On “Hoohahs & Cat Calls” Odin and Bjorn are exploring their musicality and masculinity driven by their love for catchy pop and blues music. They call their music ‘club blues’, using all their experiences - the bumps and thumps that hit on their paths - to come to this style. It doodles around joyful and obsessive themes as broken love, climate change, sex and solitude.
