Mitch Grainger releases Honey Bee
World-renowned Blues harmonica-player, vocalist, guitarist, and Australian roots-music troubadour, Mitch Grainger releases his latest single “Honey Bee” on November 25th. The digital release includes two versions of the song, one recorded with Mitch Grainger’s Los Angeles based band and one solo acoustic version. “Honey Bee” is the third singles released in lead up to the release of his new album entitled Plug It In scheduled for release in March 2023. “Honey Bee was written and the basic tracks recorded while I was performing regularly at Harvard & Stone in L.A as a part of the burlesque nights... the sexier the tunes were the better then, and we always had a lot of fun when this track was played”, Mitch Grainger said in a statement.
This release follows on from the success of Mitch Grainger’s last singles “Strong Woman”, and ‘Hollywood’ the former added to Apple music’s roadhouse blues play list, with both still seeing strong airplay support on blues radio shows across Europe, Australia and the USA.
Recorded and produced by Mitch Grainger, the songs’ initial rhythm tracks were recorded in L.A
with recent Grammy award winner Deacon Marquinn on Drums, and Ed Maxwell on Bass. Mitch
Grainger added his vocals and harmonica from his new US base in Nashville. Arlan Schierbaum
whose credits include Joe Bonnamassa, Beth Hart, John Hiatt, Richie Kotzen and Janiva
Magness added Hammond organ remotely from his studio in Greece.
“This is an exciting new chapter for me. The sound of the record is really coming together and I can’t wait to share and perform this new material.”
- Mitch Grainger’s 120,000 plus fans across social media and indeed fans of the wider blues/rock
- genre should be delighted to see him releasing new music under his own name again in 2022
- and 2023.
