ALL ROADS LEAD TO COLORADO the sixth release was recorded during the mass lockdown in 2020 in rural colorado under a full black wolf moon--mixed and mastered in sunny austin texas...written arranged recorded and produced by guitarist/vocalist Dale X Allen....some colorado themes run throughout such as the b-bender overture opener "river of sorrow" a stream near the ranch...and texmex "black canyon chant"...honky tonk trash with "next broken heart"...the genre defining "nitro twang".....buddy holly meets tom petty on "secret"...theres the swampy psychedelic title track--and every cd ends with an instrumental- heres "chupacabra"....but wait theres more.

 

GENUINE COWHIDE est 2000 is the twisted enthusiastic efforts of reclusive eccentric curmudgeonly guitarslinger/vocalist/writer/engineer/producer (whew!) guy Dale X Allen who spent 20 years working out of sweltering hot Austin TX until one night somebody left the gate unlocked and escaped to cool Colorado----but not before touring 3/7ths of the world with a B-bender telecaster which is his particular finery-the source of NITRO TWANG...toured USA-UK-all over Europe usually as a sideman for different artists--Genuine Cowhide did make its European debut in France...performed in stadiums-theaters-festivals-dog shows(only once!)-grange halls-english pubs-barbecue joints-on top of buildings like the beatles--and yes even Luckenbach TX!
