New EP Live in Room 13 by Old Salt. Slowly but surely we are straightening our backs and hoping to come out of this terrible crisis. One thing this crisis has proven is that most musicians have become more creative and have grown tremendously. Just take a moment and check out Old Salt, an award-winning (2017 European World of Bluegrass Award) Americana band based out of Ghent, Belgium who have been dazzling audiences across Europe since 2015 with their unique blend of original and traditional songs.

Their musical inspiration stems from the streets of New Orleans up through Appalachia to the folk revival of the North East USA and into Europe. Old Salt produces exciting arrangements that break the boundaries of their genre and brilliantly combine the different energies of a jam session, the concert hall, and the street to bring a modern folk sound with grit, dynamics, and virtuosity.

Old Salt has survived the Musical Apocalypse and is proud to announce the release of a five-song live EP recorded in Room 13 in Ghent, Belgium. This EP features timeless old songs whipped up in a new energetic light. Old Salt feels it represents much of what so many of us have been dealing with through this last year. Experiences like monotony, loneliness, hope, and loss all the while confronting these themes as Old Salt does with a smile and a growl. The EP LIVE In Room 13 will be released February 11th 2022.
