Een andere oom, Glyn Johns, is producer voor o.m. the Who, Led Zeppelin, Clapton, Steve Miller.

It helps if you as a musician comes from a family that has already made quite a difference in music. Father Andy Johns was a sound engineer who has worked with Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton, Mother Paula Boyd is Pattie Boyd's sister, making Clapton, George Harrison and Mick Fleetwood his uncles. Another uncle, Glyn Johns, is a producer for the Who, Led Zeppelin, Clapton, Steve Miller, among others. If that were the only credit to Will Johns, I wouldn't have devoted a piece of text to Will, but luckily the good man himself can do something.

The Bristol native Will Johns is also an excellent guitarist and singer, who has since built up a decent career. For his fourth album “Bluesdaddy” he draws on the rich blues history and performs eleven classics, which he knows how to give his own twist. The only own song is the title song “Bluesdaddy”. He is accompanied here by drummer Chris Gale and bassist Richard Sadler. The result is impressive. The album is in fact an ode to the blues and we hear versions of famous songs such as “Everyday I Have The Blues”, “High Heel Sneakers”, “Hoochie Coochie Man” and “Sweet Little Angel”. And it should be noted that the own composition “Bluesdaddy” certainly does not look out of place among these many covered songs. A very nice album, in which Will Johns shows that he interprets well-known songs in an excellent way.
