For over a decade now, Dan Krikorian has been hard at work building a groundswell of support as a writer and artist through his consistent and increasingly acclaimed offerings. 2019 saw the release of Krikorian’s fifth and most ambitious album to date, “Grandeur”, and with it flexed his songwriting and producing muscles throughout the 16-song musical adventure. Folk, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Americana, and Pop effortlessly meld together in the album giving “Grandeur” its widespread critical and commercial appeal. After touring both the U.S. and Europe, “Grandeur” landed on many “Best Folk/Singer/Songwriter Albums” of 2019 lists behind reviews like,

“As far as we are concerned, “Grandeur” is one of the strongest singer-songwriter albums of 2019… Dan Krikorian’s unique craftsmanship, singing talent, and songwriting skills continue to provide top songs…It certainly looks as if this record will appear in my “top 10 favorite albums list” of 2019.” -(Rootstime)

"Krikorian is able to write particularly catchy songs." wrote the Dutch Music That Needs Attention Blog

Known for years as a thoughtful, humorous, and emotional live performer, Krikorian recorded his first live album with the powerful backing of his 7-piece band, The DKB (Dan Krikorian Band) in the summer of 2019 upon returning from his European tour. The forthcoming album, September 25, 2020, “Alive in Costa Mesa”, was recorded in front of a large, raucous, and supportive crowd in Krikorian’s hometown of Costa Mesa during the DKB’s string of shows at the Orange County Fair. The 24-song album showcases Krikorian’s talent in both intimate solo performances in songs like “Lyla”, as well as full-band rockers in “Somethin’ Good,” “High Heels” (Video), and “Maggie”.

Krikorian’s trademark quick wit and humor also shine in the album’s in-between moments, offering fans a complete listening experience from start to finish.

2020 will also see the beginnings of another new Krikorian project with the release of the introspective and triumphant single “New England” (video teaser) on November 13th, 2020. The single is the first off a new Krikorian EP set to release in April of 2021. Recorded with rising LA producer/producer Andrew Dawson Heringer (Milo Greene, Joshua Radin, Cary Brothers) during the summer of 2020, “New England” marks the beginning of a fresh yet familiar direction for Krikorian stylistically.

As Krikorian’s musical career continues to move steadily forward, he has also expanded his presence as the host/producer of the successful podcast series, Beautiful Work. In the deep-dive podcast series, Krikorian has hosted Pulitzer Prize-winning authors, Grammy Award-winning musicians, professional coaches, athletes, CEO’s, and much more.

Outside of music, Krikorian is also the Associate Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Professor at Chapman University in Southern California as well as the owner/curator of the highly popular Youtube/Twitter coaching channel, Slappin’ Glass. He goes to bed late.
