LYRICS
In the churches
In the cotton fields
A seed was planted
That forever yields
Soul from heaven
And blues from the earth
Canāt put a price on what itās worth
My friends itās clearly undeniable
Those old blues legends
They were so beautiful
You might sing it better
Or you might sing it worse
Just remember who sang it first
Songs that make you laugh
Songs that make you cry
