The Very Best Of Newton Faulkner…So Far bevat maar liefst eenendertig nummers zoals fanfavorieten als Dream Catch Me, Write It On Your Skin en Clouds, maar ook drie gloednieuwe nummers waaronder het in december verschenen Kerstnummer Wish I Could Wake Up. Het tweede deel van dit dubbealbum bevat dertien nieuw opgenomen versies van zijn befaamd geworden covers van o.a. Bohemian Rhapsody, Send Me On My Way, No Diggity en Sponge Bob Square Pants.
Versies waar fans al jaren om vragen. Newton Faulkner licht toe: ‘The Best Of feels like a real milestone, I’m so proud of it as a body of work and the second disc was so much fun to make. I love the challenge of covering songs, which probably is reflected in my song choices. For people that have seen me live before, there are some old favourites and there’s also some tracks no one has ever heard me do.’

Met 1.5 miljoen verkochte albums en bijna tweehonderd miljoen streams is Newton Faulkner een van de succesvolste Britse singer-songwriters van dit millennium. Naast zijn eigen shows, trad Newton Faulkner afgelopen jaar ook op als The Sung Thoughts of the Journalist tijdens de Engelse arena tour van Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds.

Naar aanleiding van The Very Best gaat Newton Faulkner in de lente van dit jaar op tournee en doet op 31 maart TivoliVredenburg aan. ‘It's going to be awesome to be doing a tour where the challenge isn't to do as much new stuff as possible, but just to do the best set, with the best songs from any point in my career’.
