Big Shoes was born over a decade ago in Nashville, when we formed as a tribute band to Little Feat. After featuring a number of their songs in our sets, we began writing our own material, which culminated in two self-released albums. Three years ago we were signed by Qualified Records, helmed by GRAMMY-winning producer Kevin McKendree and managing partner John Heithaus, and this is our second release for the label, after the #1 worldwide charting and critically acclaimed album, “Fresh Tracks.”

The seven members of the band are all seasoned pros, having spent many years in the studio and on tour with numerous A-list artists. When fans come up and ask us who we’ve played with, we just tell ‘em the list of who we haven’t is actually shorter.

All this experience has molded our sound, which is centered on the Blues and R’nB with a strong rhythmic emphasis. What drew us together was our mutual admiration for each other’s talents. What we discovered on this journey is that we really love playing together, and even better, we love hanging out together, getting lunch at out favorite Mexican cantina or sitting down and writing a new song or two. This camaraderie has allowed us to become a real band of brothers in true creative partnership with our record label.

The opportunity to write and record has been a great gift to all of us, especially now that we’re older and wiser, and able to appreciate it that much more. So, we’re delighted to bring you our latest project, “King Size,” for your listening pleasure. We had a blast making the album and hope you enjoy it.
