About Barely Dressed
- “Never Told Me Her Name” was originally titled “Hole in the Wall”. This song was about the wall between the US and Mexico during the first Trump reign (yes, that long ago). When preproducing our records in 2023, he was “long gone” from the oval office, so we decided to change the lyrics. Now, the release will practically coincide with the start of Donald II...
- “Come Out and Play” is one of those songs that you write in - like -15 minutes. Fellow musicians will know what we mean by this V /
- Tribute to Jan “Hammerguy” Danneels: In May 2022, our good friend Jan “Hammerguy” Danneels decided to take an early exit from the game of life. Jan was the main guy behind Frietrock, a free 3 day festival in Arendonk (BE), where Fat Bastard performed many a time. On the inside of the CD Digipack, you’ll see a hammer incorporated in the artwork, that’s a nod to Jan.
- “Mister Rock”... who else than the Leather-clad Jesus of the Whory Church of Motdrhead!
- “Kill My Soul” is the most personal song we’ve ever made, on a few levels... The lyrics are a few things one of the Bastards went through in his childhood. Now, we want to take the opportunity to give the topic of child abuse a bit more attention. That’s why we made the lyrics video for that song, and incorporating information on abuse and how to respond if you (think you) recognize it.
- Fan Involvement: Each time we are working on the preproduction of an album, we give our fans the chance to choose the album title, by presenting them with a few options coming from lyrics. We’re pretty happy with this title, it could have been “Rough & Pink” or something worse...
“You Know You Are Gone”: Co-written by Fat Bastard and Ira Black, who also produced and mastered the album.
Future Plans
With full album Barely Dressed set for release in 2025, Fat Bastard aims to grab momentum by the balls and take their music to new heights. Working this time with L.A. based producer Ira Black (I Am Morbid, Lizzy Borden, Dokken, Bulletboys, Dio Disciples,...) in the hopes of crossing the great pond to make some amok!
They are determined to continue delivering electrifying performances and expanding their fan base to a point of World Domination (at least).

Let’s say that Carl Perkins hooked up with Peter Pan Speedrock, and after a few months their beautiful baby girl, Sue, is born. And a pretty, headstrong baby it is. We just don’t know which Peter Pan is the daddy, but as drummers always have the strongest seed…
Fast Forward a good 20 years, and our cute Sue goes to an awesome festival… As she wanders into the backstage area, Lemmy from Motörhead falls from stage with a Boner to Raise Hell…
Hypothetically speaking: what would THIS love child sound like? Well…
* toothpaste smile*
That’s Fat Bastard baby!
