These Wicked Rivers: EU Tourdates announced with King King

Derbyshire’s rising stars These Wicked Rivers have announced a triumphant return to Europe this April - taking their gospel of ‘peace, love and lampshades’ across to the continent as special guests to blues veterans King King......

King King

2024 was an incredible year for the ‘Rivers which saw them score a #3 Rock Album with sophomore record ‘Force of Nature’, as well as selling out shows across the UK and Europe. They will be hitting the road once again this spring as they continue their mission to take their unique brand of uplifting blues-rock to the masses. The tour sees them venture into Denmark for the first time, as well as returning to The Netherlands and Germany for 9 shows with King King alongside a couple of headline shows.

Speaking of the announcement guitarist Arran Day enthuses:

“We are delighted to be visiting our TWR European family again, this time supporting our brothers in King King. We felt so welcomed on our first rock and roll pilgrimage to the continent last year and can't wait to return, especially as we head to Denmark for the first time.”

Frontman John Hartwell adds:

“We had a wonderful time on the road with King King across the UK in October - it is truly an honour to be joining them on the road once again as we celebrate the power of rock and roll with new people, in new countries. We cannot wait!”

Established in 2014, These Wicked Rivers are Derby’s entry to the new wave of rock and roll that is sweeping across the United Kingdom. Drawing influence from the well of rock legends and blues greats, the band have made a huge impact since their inception with their unique brand of blues-infused modern rock steadily picking up plaudits for their gutsy live performances across the UK. They released critically acclaimed second album ‘Force of Nature’ (#5 UK Indie, #3 UK Rock album) in March 2024, and re-released debut album ‘Eden’ on vinyl in December 2024, celebrating both releases in front of sell out crowds at their respective launches.

Collectively These Wicked Rivers are aiming for the top. Described by Classic Rock Magazine as “The sound of what might’ve happened if Clutch got a bit stoned with Audioslave and Zakk Wylde – and then jammed late into the night”, the band blend subtle blues touches with a hard rock edge, adding soulful vocals to create a sound that is as dramatic as it is exhilarating.

Having toured the UK and Europe extensively over the past 12 months, the band’s relentless drive to spread the joy, spirit and togetherness of the rock and roll community is evident. The band look forward to exploring new horizons as their loyal fanbase affectionately referred to as the “Rivers Family” continues to grow.
