The VizzTone label group is proud to announce the January 31 release of New Orleans based band Big Al and the Heavyweights' new studio album, BLUES POWER. This is the band’s second VizzTone album, and their eighth overall.

The first single, “IF”, which is available now, is a minor blues ballad, sung by Marcel Anton in the classic bayou soul tradition. His powerful baritone delivers the heart-wrenching tale of lost love and reaches a natural falsetto that recalls some of the region’s masters. This album showcases 10 original tracks and introduces two new band members, Dennis Cedeno on bass and Dangerous Dale Robertson on harmonica, while still featuring the soulful Marcel Anton on guitar and vocals and bandleader Big Al Lauro on drums.

 Constantly on the road, the band will be hitting some of their favorite rooms in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, Indiana and DC
