Jacqui Brown does nothing by halves. As a young fashion
model, she worked all over the world. Her marriage to
two-time Grammy winning guitarist and producer Paul
Brown has lasted more than 40 years. She got a journalism degree in her 40s, worked at the Los Angeles Times,
When she recently began to explore music, she cowrote an album with her husband, and the result is the
beautiful country-tinged debut Love Love Love, out on
Woodward Avenue Records, home of musical greats including the legendary Melba Moore.
That Jacqui has musical talent came as a wonderful
surprise to her husband, who was stunned when Jacqui
sat down at the piano one day and wrote a beautiful
song for an addicted daughter, “Somebody’s Child,” that
he went on to record on his 10th album.



“In all our 40 years, I had never heard Jacqui sing,”
Paul said. “Our work lives had always been independent
of each other and I never dreamed we’d be working on
music together at this point in our lives, but life is full of
surprises. Once you hear her CD, you’ll understand why
that frst song blew me away.”
Jacqui has found great joy and inspiration in this collaboration, and it shows. “Creating music that touches
people’s souls brings a whole new intimacy to our long
life together. Am I a lucky girl? You bet your ass I am!
